Hey Asad thanks for reading! I looked into Politechnico di Milano’s Strategic Design and Management, OCAD’s Strategic Foresight and Innovation, and a few MBA programs that seemed to have a design concentration like the University of Toronto and Illinois Institute of Design. Ultimately I went with Parsons for a few reasons. I did my undergrad at a very academic university and I felt like MBA programs might be the same style of education which was not what I wanted. I also visited Parsons and meet with professors a year before the program and it seemed to offer the most flexibility and exploration which was what I wanted. There was also the element of wanting to study overseas so that eliminated the Canadian options for me. Ultimately the pandemic played a big role as well. I didn’t want to defer my enrolment to 2021 and Parsons has always offered an online version of the program. Because of this, I didn’t feel like it was such a gamble to opt for online learning. I’m very happy with my choice, it is definitely a very explorative program! Sometimes I wish there was a bit more structure in teaching specific technical skills, but then again we refer to a lot of books and resources that break down concepts step by step and use our class time for hands on learning and discussions.
